We're looking for inspired 9th-12th graders registered in SAFL who want to make an impact in the Balagana community. 8th grade SAFL students may be general members.
Members grow as leaders while teaching fun, immersive lessons in Sanskrit. Yuvagana offers opportunities to earn volunteer hours eligible for PVSA awards, build leadership skills, and support Samskrita Bharati USA’s core mission — to inspire and lead the next generation in Sanskrit.
Volunteers attend class for 90 minutes on select Saturdays and lead their activity. Time commitment is flexible and based on availability, general members may sign up for as many sessions as they’d like.
Contact Divya Sethuraman or Prakruti Kota to sign up today!
Yuvagana is a team of high school volunteers who teach short, engaging, Sanskrit sessions. Based on a teacher’s monthly request, a volunteer may lead a story, game, song, etc. Volunteers sign up weekly, prepare their own materials in advance, and coordinate with their assigned teacher.
General Members: Teach occasionally and assist with main events
Core Members: Lead regularly and help plan and participate in main events in the Samskrita Bharati Cupertino Kendram.
Yuvagana volunteers send out a monthly task form to all teachers, and the teachers will plan an activity for all 4 Saturdays of the month. Volunteers will sign up weekly to assist one Saturday at a time and will prepare accordingly.
You can request tasks to be done here.
